Individualized
Our individualized education model allows students to progress toward mastery. A St. Sophia a student might be in 5th grade math and 3rd grade spelling while in enrolled in 4th grade.
Classical
A classical education gives our students a foundation for understanding the philosophical and historical context of their Christian cultural heritage. Our history and civilization cannot be divorced from the history of the Christian Church which has influenced human understanding from the time of Jesus Christ to the modern era.
Christian
Teachers at St. Sophia are on a mission to assist families in their goal to grow children into adults that reflect the light of the love of Christ into the darkness they will encounter, to teach them to dwell on what is true, virtuous and beautiful and to live for the Glory of God and the benefit of others.
Traditional
In traditional classrooms, students are gently led by an experienced, loving teacher into greater and deeper knowledge. In upper grades, students engage in passionate discussion and debate with their peers guided by a master teacher. Teachers not only instruct students but guide them in learning to live their Christian faith by example.
